What will you learn in this Bulerías course for beginners?
During this beginner-level Bulerías Zoom course, you will progressively learn the elements you need to start dancing Bulerías.
The course combines technique, compás, coordination and choreographic memory so that you can gradually acquire different resources and use them in your dancing.
Among other topics, we work on:
- Footwork technique and exercises to gradually prepare your body for flamenco dancing.
- Arm and body exercises to improve coordination.
- Bulerías compás with palmas, working on accents and basic exercises.
- Different music and speeds to help develop your ear.
- Basic marcajes, progressively increasing in difficulty throughout the course.
- Remates and pataítas to begin building a repertoire of resources for dancing Bulerías.
- Different ways of walking and moving to learn how to enter and leave the stage.
- Codes used by flamenco dancers and explanations of how to use them.
- Choreographies that are progressively introduced to develop choreographic memory.
- Pataítas with live music, with guitar and singing, to take what you have learned to the stage.
How does the Bulerías Zoom course work?
In each class, we progressively work on the different elements needed to learn how to dance Bulerías.
Footwork technique, arms and body
We mainly work on footwork technique and practise arm and body exercises to gradually prepare your body for flamenco dancing.
Bulerías compás with palmas
We also work on compás with palmas, reinforcing the accents and practising basic exercises.
We use different music and speeds to help develop your ear and gradually become familiar with the compás.
Marcajes, remates and pataítas
Throughout the course, we learn basic marcajes that gradually become more challenging.
We also work on remates and pataítas, progressively adding new resources for dancing Bulerías.
Ways of walking and dance codes
We learn different ways of walking and moving to enter and leave the stage.
We also explain the codes used by flamenco dancers and how to use them while dancing.
Choreographies and choreographic memory
As the course progresses, we introduce choreographies to activate and develop your choreographic memory.
In this way, the different exercises, marcajes and resources that we learn are progressively integrated into the dance.
Pataítas with live music
To finish the course, we choreograph several pataítas with live music, with guitar and singing, to perform on stage.

Tips for following Bulerías Zoom classes from home
To practise comfortably, we recommend having a suitable space where you can perform the dance exercises and practise your footwork.
It is also useful to have a mirror so that you can check your body positioning, arms and movements while practising the exercises.
To follow the classes more comfortably, you can use a tablet or screen positioned so that you can see the teacher clearly while you dance.
Learn Bulerías from home with Zoom classes
If you want to learn to dance Bulerías from scratch, this course allows you to progressively get started with this flamenco palo from home.
The Bulerías Zoom classes combine technical training with learning compás, marcajes, remates, pataítas, ways of walking and dance codes.
In addition, as the course progresses, we introduce choreographies and finish by working on several pataítas with live guitar and singing to perform on stage.
You do not need to live in Seville to learn with us: you can follow the classes from anywhere in the world and learn Bulerías from home.
